A Mayor, Council & Staff:
Committed to Working for the People
The residents of Freeport deserve an administration that understands its role is to work for the people, making decisions based on what is best, needed, and wanted by Freeport's residents. My administration will respect the responsibility entrusted to us, taking it seriously and never for granted. Our voices must echo and represent the people we serve, putting aside personal agendas and selfish desires. Elected and hired officials are here to graciously represent, vigorously protect, and effectively unite the people of Freeport.
In Freeport, the primary voices come from the people. I am committed to ensuring our neighbors have every opportunity to be heard. Their voices must then be represented by their respective alderpersons. Each alderperson has been elected to advocate for the interests, opinions, and hopes of their individual wards.
Our aldermen and alderwomen must unite under the guidance of Freeport’s Alderwoman-at-Large. This elected position is charged with leading and collaborating with each alderperson for the advancement of our wards. They will communicate strongly with the city’s mayor to set policies that ensure our community thrives. Our elected mayor cannot merely be a symbol or figurehead. Freeport deserves a mayor dedicated to taking guidance from the council, ensuring Freeport's honored past, prosperous present, and fruitful future.
